The Vote

Okay friends. It has now come to the point where we are no longer sure that our dear doggie will be with us up until her dying day. This kanine kuddlie came to us a little over two months ago, promising to offer special dog-like companionship for Jared that a wife simply cannot fathom, or replace, entertainment, and to give our home a protected feel- all at minimal expense of course. Well, expense is a relative word, because even though little Chloe hasn't cost us much in the amount of $$, what we've had to pay in time and frustration has been more than we anticipated.

For example: 2 weeks ago, Jared thought he'd be a nice doggie owner, and take Chloe for a ride with him while conducting some errands. Halfway into the trip though, as Jared sniffed a foul stench in the air, he quickly reconsidered his kindness. As he turned around in the car to see what might have generated such foulness, he saw Chloe, and more than a few of her clumped droppings all over the back seat. Hurt and frustrated, Jared set her on his seat in the front of the car so that he could clean the back. And when he finished disposing of that mess, he turned around to put her back, only to find that she left something sour on his seat! That's right. Chloe successfully peed and pooed all over our clean car.

Oh Chloe. Isn't it hard to believe that a doggie as cute as her could cause such a fuss? Well she does, and I actually think she likes it. This picture was taken just yesterday when after being tied up in the yard for 3 hours she managed to roll around in some poop or dirt or something, and we had to give her the second of 2 baths in only 1 week. At least Jared is good enough to do most of the dirty work.

Thus folks, we're puttin it to a vote. All who think we should say goodbye to Chloe and find a better home for her, cast your vote accordingly above.

Honey's Fabulous Party was a smashing success. I was going to wear something really lame, but then mom had the rockin idea that I should wear some of grandma's retro stuff. Here I'm sporting a lovely black dress that you unfortunately can't see much of, some fantastic costume jewelry, and a rad mink coat that a friend of the family gave us.

Just to assure anyone that may have doubted the culinary foundation upon which our relationship was built, this should affirm the fact that we're still going strong in the kitchen!

Dinner last night was chicken pesto pasta, and it was YUUUUUUUUUUMY

And of course, we are still hard core BYU fans.

Here's a huge irony though; for the FIRST time in my entire college career, I bought an allsports pass. And I'm graduated.
