Teething and cloth diapers. Not something that I would recommend starting while the other one is going on. To be honest, we've been trying the cloth diapers for a while, and we're not even sure Max is teething. At three months and two days, we parents can only hope that our child's endless fussiness is attributable to the dreaded teething phase of infanthood. He definitely has all of the
symptoms (see the bib--the drain for the faucet that his mouth has become), but we're told that the three month mark is the earliest kids will begin to teeth. You be the judge:

Max is sad about teething, while Miranda is sad about having to spray poop off of Max's next diaper.
And in this phase of pre-solid food, I must admit, Max's diapers haven't been all that bad. It does take a lot of work, however, to clean each diaper, pre-treat and then launder each diaper. Why is this method preferred over an option that insists of simply wadding and throwing away? On some days, I just don't have an answer for that question.

Our bathroom also converts to a drying rack.

By putting an image of Jesus on the changing table, we're already teaching Max that Jesus = getting clean.

Max also loves being naked. He must think its his time to shine. When he is, you can tell he feels the freedom and uninhibited movement associated with being naked, because he just loves to squirm. Come to find out, he also loves his ABCs. Observe:

I have toyed with the idea of cloth diapers for each of my kids. Here we are on number 3 and we're still buying disposable. I have simply been too scared to make the transition. Honestly, I'm afraid of all the extra work.
The environmentally aware side of me LOVES the idea, the pocket-book side of me LOVES the idea, but the tired-already-from-too-much-housework side of me HATES it. Maybe kid number 4?
Wow Miranda he has grown so much. He is a doll! I can tell you are having so much fun with him. They are a lot of work, but worth every minute. Enjoy every second because they grow up so fast.
